Governance

The governance of the Teaching School Hub sits within the existing accountability structure of the Board of Directors of Northern Lights Learning Trust. There is a Committee of the Board that has delegated responsibility. 

The Governance is underpinned by a series of groups that act as advisory partners to the Teaching School Hub. 

Strategic Partners 

These are partners that work in collaboration with the Teaching School Hub to support decisions and advise the Hub strategically. These partners sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Hub and meet termly to support and challenge the Hub.

These are expert advisors that advise the Teaching School Hub in their areas of expertise to shape the work of the Teaching School Hub. These advisors sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Hub and meet termly to advise the Hub.

Local Partners 

These are local partners that work with the Teaching School Hub to support the Hub, including providing local intelligence on need in their local area and feedback on areas of success or development. They exist in each Local Authority area – Sunderland, South Tyneside and Gateshead. They are cross phase, cross school type and meet termly with the Hub.
