Welcome

I am extremely proud to welcome you to Northern Lights Teaching School Hub: the Teaching School Hub for Sunderland, Gateshead and South Tyneside. As one of the 87 DfE designated Hubs, we are dedicated to supporting teachers at every stage in their career, acting as the centre of excellence to signpost and support schools to access professional development from ITT to Executive Leadership as well as being an established Appropriate Body. I am privileged to work as part of a fantastic TSH team who all share the same mission: 'The best professional development for schools to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people'. To do this, we hold values at the core of everything we do: everyone has a voice, individuality, support, integrity, learning collaboratively and excellence, in which we ensure are underpinned in our work across the region.

Although we work with schools, teachers and leaders, children are at the heart of everything we do and are integral to how we achieve our mission and aims.

It is an honour to lead Northern Lights Teaching School Hub and a real privilege to build partnerships with schools across the region to ensure all teachers and leaders have access to excellent professional development and opportunities, so that ultimately, children can flourish and thrive.
